SiTEX® functional yarns, fabrics, and apparel applications on display at FaW TOKYO 2026.
Presenting Taiwanese Textile Innovation in Tokyo
HITEK TEXTILE participated in FaW TOKYO 2026, held from October 7–9 at Tokyo Big Sight, presenting SiTEX® functional yarn technology, fabric collections, and apparel applications.
The exhibition provided an opportunity to introduce HITEK’s material development capabilities and connect with industry professionals interested in functional textiles. Through fabric samples, garment displays, and technical presentations, visitors explored how mineral-based yarn technology can be integrated into products that combine functionality, design, and everyday comfort.

From Functional Yarn to Versatile Applications
A key highlight was SiTEX® far-infrared functional yarn, which incorporates natural mineral components within the fiber during spinning. The displays connected the yarn’s manufacturing process and fiber structure with finished fabrics and wearable products.
SiTEX® offers opportunities for development across sportswear, base layers, loungewear, sleepwear, uniforms, bedding, and wearable supports. Each application requires a different balance of softness, stretch, breathability, fabric weight, and appearance, making customized textile development an essential part of the process.
For sleepwear and pajamas, development can focus on soft textures and comfortable wear during rest. Sportswear and uniforms bring different priorities, including freedom of movement and comfort throughout daily activity.

Exchanging Ideas and Exploring Future Collaboration
FaW TOKYO created opportunities for HITEK to exchange ideas with industry visitors and potential partners about fabric characteristics, product requirements, and the possibilities of far-infrared textiles.
These discussions helped connect material technology with practical development needs while providing insights into expectations for the Japanese market.
HITEK thanks everyone who visited the display and shared their questions and ideas. The company looks forward to continuing conversations with brands, manufacturers, and product developers, bringing Taiwanese textile expertise and SiTEX® innovation to new applications and international markets.
