In mid-April 2026, Hitek Textile stepped outside the traditional fabric trade show circuit for the first time, traveling to INTEX Osaka in Japan for the 32nd Barrier Free International Exhibition on Chronic Disease, Long-Term Care, and Elderly Care Equipment. It was the company’s first time exhibiting at a medical and long-term care event, and also marked the first appearance of its self-developed SiTEX FIR far-infrared functional yarn technology in Japan’s health and elderly care market — an important step in Hitek Textile’s transition from a functional fabric supplier to a health-application brand.

Japanese Brands Reach Out, Opening the Door to New Partnerships
During the exhibition, representatives from several Japanese companies and trading houses — including Wacoal, Marubeni Intex, and Shimano — visited the booth to learn about SiTEX FIR and evaluate the material. Wacoal was particularly interested in applications for intimate apparel; Marubeni Intex explored possibilities for functional face masks and skincare-oriented textiles; and Shimano focused on outdoor and cycling sportswear fabrics. Several exhibitors also discussed potential sourcing for support-brace and intimate-wear products.

Nano-Milled Minerals Woven In: Dual-Patented Technology Built for Function and Durability
SiTEX FIR technology nano-mills a range of natural minerals and blends them directly into the fiber masterbatch before spinning, embedding the functional properties within the yarn itself rather than relying on surface coatings. The technology holds patents in both Taiwan and the United States and uses a dual-layer fiber structure that preserves the fabric’s original hand feel and stretch while improving wash durability and long-term functional performance. It has also completed multiple rounds of third-party testing.

Looking ahead, we will continue to invest in textile innovation and work with international partners to expand the applications of SiTEX FIR across a wider range of health, sports, and everyday lifestyle products.
