PLA & PHBV Biobased Degradable Material

PLA and PHBV polymers are 100% made from biobased, biodegradable, non-toxic, and biocompatible materials. The bio-degradable fabrics are composed of PLA and PHBV. This fiber has a better heat resistance and softness hand-feel than PLA fiber. In the past, the spinnability of PLA was very high, but the heat resistance was low. It would become hard and brittle after long-term storage. It is also challenging to use this material in the production processes such as yarn texturing, dyeing, and finishing. PLA fiber has poor resistance to high temperature, poor physical properties, and feels stiff and that is why many can only apply on spun and not a filament. Our new PLA and PHBV polymer has better physical properties and better resistance to high temperature, which makes it much more suitable for textile use.
